SYDNEY & GREAT BARRIER REEF:

Day 1 - Arrive into Sydney, one of the worlds most beautiful cities for a 4 night stay. Spend the next 3 days exploring this exciting and diverse city.Climb the Harbour Bridge for the most amazing views or take a cruise around the Harbour. Spoil yourself with a night at the Opera followed by dinner in one of the many waterfront restaurants renowned for their seafood. Spend a day in Darling Harbour which has been totally revitalised or just relax on one of the many city beaches. Try your hand at surfing or for the child at heart visit Taronga Zoo.

Day 5 - Collect a hire car and drive 2.5hrs north to Port Stephens for 2 nights. A natural Harbour of crystal blue water and home to pods of resident dolphins. Try your hand at sand boarding, camel riding or Quad biking

Day 7 - A short drive inland brings you to the Hunter Valley for a couple of nights. Home to Australia's oldest and most famous vineyards. Sail above the vines in a hot air balloon or indulge yourself with a well deserved Spa treatment

Day 9 - Just a couple of hours drive brings you to the unique Blue Mountains for 3 nights. A spectacular World Heritage listed Wilderness area of sheer sandstone cliffs, eucalypt forests and waterfalls. Enjoy bushwalking, rock climbing, horseriding, golfing. Muru Mittigar offers visitors an insight into Aboriginal Culture and is a must.

Day 12 - Return the hire car to the airport and take a domestic flight up to Cairns for 3 nights

Days 13 - No visit to Far North Queensland is complete without taking a full day tour to the Great Barrier Reef. Sail out to the reef on a catamaran, where you can snorkal, have a go at scuba diving or for the non swimmers you can still see the magnificent colours of this unique area in semi submersable boat.

Day 14 - Travel up to the Daintree Forest about 2.5hrs from Cairns. Cruise the Daintree River and spend time exploring the oldest continually surviving tropical rain forest hosting a wealth of flora and fauna.

Day 15 – Journey on the historic Kuranda Scenic railway up to the quaint village of Kuranda, returning to Cairns on the worlds longest gondola cable car ride. This glides over the canopy of the rainforest offering stunning views of Cairns and the ocean beyond. Alternatively you may wish to relax on one of the many beautiful beaches that far North Queensland has to offer.
